CAS Kunshan Hi-Tech Industrial Park is a cooperation base for industrialization of scientific and technical result and internationalization under the jointly cooperation between the Kunshan municipal people’s government and the China Academy of Sciences in Zhouzhuang. It covers area of 3 sq. km and enjoys the same preferential policy as national economic and technological development zone and provincial high and new technology industrial development zone. Over 40 enter- pr ises from the United States, J apan, New Zealand, Canada, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Hongkong, etc have established here, with the foreign capital over 2000 million RMB, formed the High-new Technology Industry specialized as new electrical material and various kind of sensors and application.

National Torch Program Kunshan Sensor Industry Base is the first national-level sensor industrial base. It has already attracted 18 enter- prises focusing on relevant series of sensor products and applied products including eight major kinds of sensors，with the annual out-put of 450 million pieces, such as infrared, photo electricity, Hall, etc; and various kinds of infrared alarms. automatic light switch and the inclination digital etc. Innovative service facilities of sensor base are perfect and the industrial service center covers area of 3000 square meters, which is also the information service platform for the cooper-ation with the enterprises in the base.

National 863 High-new Technology Research and Development Industrial Base The base was authorized as “National 863 high-new Technology Research and Development Industrial base “ in December, 2003. Over ten projects of National 863 Program have been applied in the field of temperature sensor and pressure sensor.

Jiangsu Province Sensor Industry Technology Association It was established in October ,2004,which is the first sensor professional asso-ciation in China. with 40 members, which has been the network platform for promoting the development and exchange of Jiangsu Sensor Industry Technology Association .

Business Incubator for Overseas Chinese Scholars which will try to attract overseas Chinese Scholars to establish their business in Zhou-zhuang Industrial Park and high-new technology center incorporating research and development, industry service, marketing and training, will also form here.
